We grew up drinking milk tea and to this day are still obsessed about it. We started Boba Guys as a way to share the milk tea we remember from our childhood (only this time with fresh ingredients; none of the powdered stuff).

We use only the finest ingredients: Straus Family Creamery organic milk accompanied with homebrewed heirloom organic tea from Five Mountains. Our syrup and almond jelly is homemade and we use Grade A balls. (We just like saying that. )

Boba isn't the only thing we drool over at Boba Guys.... If you haven't tried our baked goods yet, well, you're in for a treat. Featured above: Our Hong Kong Toast (condensed milk buttercream drizzled with honey, spread over a @wisesons brioche), our Kaya Toast, @thirdculturebakery baked goods (mochi muffin anyone?) and of course, our strawberry tea fresca (we had to throw in a drink for good measure 😋). Since we already announced our marriage to @andytownsf , we figured it was only fair to invite all of you to our reception and ceremony. So..... 🚨 FOR. ONE. DAY. ONLY 🚨 We are heading over to Andytown's Roastery to join forces and put boba in their infamous Snowy Plovers! 😩❤🎉😱 We will also be sampling coffee milk tea with boba for those patiently waiting in line, so it's definitely a wedding celebration not to be missed. One of the first and only things we were sure of when we opened our first store 7 years ago was that we wanted to do things differently. We wanted to give a damn. So since Day 1, we made sure to partner with companies that cared about their footprint too. . We brought on @strausmilk , @califiafarms , @oatly and @battenkillcreamery in NY as our milk partners because sustainable methodologies is in their DNA. We partnered with @baggu to create reusable totes. We created mason jars custom to fit boba straws. We partnered with @andytownsf who are one of the only few roasting coffee responsibly. And we recycle and compost everything we can. . But we still have a long way to go. We get a lot of questions about our cups, straws and lids - so please know that we are avidly working on finding partners who can deliver compostable drinkware. . Yay Area, we are sooo excited to announce a special project we’ve been working on called Heritage SF. It’s a FREE music festival for APA Heritage Month on Saturday, May 19th at @themidwaysf, 4pm to 10pm. In full #TransparencyWins spirit, it’s been a beast getting this inaugural event going with our friends at @caamedia, @isatv, and @undiscoveredsf. We found out it’s quite ambitious to launch with the amazing talent we have but that’s how we roll. So maybe you've heard or maybe you haven't - but @teapeopleusa is our sister company, and it's dedicated to sourcing the highest quality tea for you. We use Tea People tea for all of our Boba Guys drinks, but we also sell loose-leaf teas for those of you who enjoy brewing at home. . We’re bridging cultures at Boba Guys, but we’re making tea accessible at Tea People, so if you haven't been yet, please visit us at our Hayes Valley store! We have really friendly and inviting tea geeks who can guide you in finding the perfect tea for you. Also, we have a cool neon sign that makes any boba picture look great, so there's that too. . Coffee? Yes - please! Especially with everything we have going on today. . 🚨To start, we are having two job fairs! One today (April 16th) and one tomorrow (April 17th). The one today will be held at our Union Square store from 2pm-6pm! Be sure to bring your resume ☺️ . The next big thing - work has begun on our Mission store, and it is now officially closed! We can’t wait to open our doors again soon. The wait will be worth it! . Thanks @andytownsf for always keeping us alive on the hardest days of the week. The Mission Store is officially closed for major renovations. Walked by the store again tonight and had the feels. We came across random things like our original pourover tea fixture, tea brewers, and handmade signs... can’t believe we got this far. Thanks for supporting us all these years. We hope the upgraded store can handle the traffic a little better. 😉🙏🏼 #FightThePowder
